Low-Speed Loading Power from a Matched Drivetrain
The ZT940U combines a Weichai 6105 turbocharged diesel engine, a Shantui planetary transmission and high-ratio wheel-side reduction axles to deliver strong low-speed torque. The drivetrain is especially effective during first-gear loading, helping the bucket penetrate dense material and fill more easily for efficient underground loading cycles.
4 × 3.5 m Tunnel Compatibility
With an overall width of no more than 2.2 m, height of no more than 2.7 m and length of no more than 7 m, the ZT940U is designed to work in tunnels as small as 4 × 3.5 m. This makes the underground wheel loader suitable for restricted mine roadways where machine dimensions directly affect accessibility.
Water-Based Exhaust Filtration for Underground Air Quality
The exhaust purification system uses a water filtration device that releases treated exhaust as water mist, allowing particles to settle rapidly. This helps reduce airborne pollution inside the tunnel and provides a cleaner working environment for underground mining operations.
400-Grade Wear-Resistant Bucket for Dense Ores
The bucket cutting edge is made from 400-grade wear-resistant steel and fitted with excavator-style teeth. The reinforced working edge is designed for abrasive, high-density materials such as gold ore, iron ore and copper ore, helping withstand demanding loading conditions.
15° Full-Load Gradeability for Underground Haulage
The ZT940U can climb slopes of up to 15° under full load. With winch assistance, it can also work on inclined roadways of up to 25°, allowing the machine to handle certain mucking and development tasks in addition to conventional loading and haulage work.
Reinforced Canopy for Falling-Rock Protection
A reinforced safety canopy is designed to protect the operator from falling rocks and other overhead hazards encountered in underground workings. It adds an important protective layer when loading beneath mine roofs and along rock excavation areas.
Tire Protection Chains for Rocky Mine Roads
The machine uses 14.00-24 smooth, wear-resistant puncture-resistant tires together with four heavy-duty tire protection chains. The added chains help protect the tires from sharp rocks and abrasive surfaces, supporting more reliable mobility in demanding underground conditions.
2.6 m Dump Height for Underground and Surface Loading
The standard 2.6 m front dump height allows the ZT940U to load underground mining transport vehicles while also supporting dump-truck loading outside the tunnel. This gives one underground front end loader greater flexibility across underground and surface material-handling operations.
Moisture-Protected Electrical System for Wet Mine Conditions
The electrical system incorporates water- and moisture-resistant protection to suit humid underground environments. This design helps improve electrical system reliability when the machine is exposed to damp tunnel conditions during daily mining operations.
Optional Side-Dump Bucket for Restricted Loading Areas
An optional side-dump bucket provides an alternative unloading method where front discharge is restricted by tunnel geometry or working conditions. This option gives operators greater flexibility when handling material in confined underground loading areas.
